Steve Smith to join as a commentator in IPL 2023

Australia team’s star batsman Steve Smith will be seen in a completely new avatar in IPL 2023. By sharing a video on his official social media handles, Smith has informed that he will be seen doing commentary in IPL.

One of the batting legends of the modern era, Smith will make his commentary debut in IPL 2023. Smith has posted a 15-second clip on his Twitter account, in which he said that he is going to join a passionate India team.

Steve Smith represented Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022. This year Smith refused to participate in the IPL. The reason behind Smith’s decision was believed to be that he would be busy preparing for the Ashes series. Apart from this, there were also reports that Smith warmed the bench most of the time while playing for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022. This was the reason why he decided not to participate in IPL 2023.

Steve Smith, who made his IPL debut in 2012, has played a total of 103 matches in this league so far. During this, Smith scored 2485 runs with the help of 1 century and 11 half-centuries. The right-handed batsman scored these runs at an average of 34.51 and a strike rate of 128.09. It is not clear in how many matches Steve Smith will commentate, but the fans are eager to hear the cricket knowledge of this player.
