Rajasthan Royals were defeated by the Lucknow Super Giants in their maiden home match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. With just 155 runs to win, the Royals were in complete control of the game until Stoinis broke the opening partnership. Following that, RR hitters like Buttler, Sanju Samson, and Shimron Hetmyer fell like a pack of cards. Stoinis was named player of the match after taking two crucial wickets and making 21 runs with the bat.
Earlier, the Lucknow Super Giants scored 154 with the bat after being called to bat first at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Both Rahul and Mayers got the visitors off to a good start, but Lucknow lost wickets quickly in the middle. For the visitors, though, Nicholas Pooran and Marcus Stoinis performed admirably.
