Mohammed Shami is amongst the top wicket takers for Gujarat Titans in the IPL history. He was recently phenomenal for the Indian Team in the ODI World Cup 2023.
Shami, however, missed the Test Series against South Africa and is expected to miss the Test Series against England which is scheduled to be played from 25th January 2024.
Mohammed Shami is reportedly dealing with a heel injury since the ODI World Cup 2023. He was taking painkillers every day during the World Cup to suppress his pain.
He has not played a single match after the World Cup and could be ruled out of the IPL 2024. Gujarat Titans has secured Umesh Yadav and Spencer Johnson in the IPL 2024 Auction.
In the absence of Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav would have to lead the bowling attack of Gujarat Titans.
