Ireland Cricket Team has unveiled its 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against India, with Paul Stirling leading the side as captain. The decision to appoint Stirling as skipper came after former captain Andrew Balbirnie stepped down from the position following the team’s disappointing performance in the ICC World Cup Qualifiers.
The T20I series will take place later this month, with the first match scheduled for August 18, followed by the second and third games on August 20 and 23, respectively. All three matches will be played at The Village, Malahide.
In addition to captain Stirling, Andrew Balbirnie, Harry Tector, and Ross Adair will bolster the batting department, while the team also includes several all-rounders for the series against India.
Curtis Campher, Joshua Little, and wicketkeeper-batsman Lorcan Tucker have secured their places in the squad, while Neil Rock has been omitted due to his poor performance in the T20 World Cup 2024 Qualifiers.
