Rishabh Pant was becoming India’s most important player in all formats before he was sidelined due to a massive car accident earlier this year in which he suffered multiple injuries. Pant is steadily regaining his match fitness and was recently seen playing a local match in Bangalore.

This incident in particular has raised the hopes of Indian cricket team fans to see Rishabh Pant in the final playing 11 of India in ICC ODI World Cup 2023. However, the rumours regarding Rishabh Pant’s return for ICC ODI World Cup 2023 are untrue.

The wicketkeeper batter is still 7-8 months away from attaining match fitness. He may even miss the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League in 2024. Pant was set to captain Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023 before he suffered the tragic accident.

Rishabh Pant may play only a left handed batter after his return from the injury. To get back to his wicketkeeping he will require additional amount of time.
