Shubman Gill smashed a much-needed hundred in the 2nd innings of Vizag Test. KL Rahul is likely to be fit for the Rajkot Test. In case Rahul isn’t fit, debutant Rajat Patidar will likely to get another chance to prove him at this level. Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the series and it is much likely possible that Sarfaraz Khan will make his debut.

Ravindra Jadeja will go through some fitness tests and if he plays, he is likely to replace Axar Patel at No. 6. Kuldeep’s performance in the last Test and his different skills might be enough for him to play, but, if the pitch allows to play an extra batter, then Washington Sundar might replace him, only if Axar is not in the playing 11.

Wicketkeeper-batter KS Bharat will be under immense pressure and it is possible that Dhruv Jurel will replace him. Mohammed Siraj is likely to make his comeback in the Indian playing XI replacing Mukesh Kumar. Mohammed Siraj will be playing alongside Jasprit Bumrah in the third test at Saurashtra Cricket Stadium in Rajkot.
