Jasprit Bumrah is counted among the best bowlers. His yorker ball has no match in Test cricket. He has destroyed the opposing teams many times with his bowling. We have seen an example of this in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. He was the highest wicket-taker from both the teams. He took a total of 32 wickets to his name.
That too when he did not bowl in the second innings of the fifth Test. Otherwise his wicket count could have been higher. Now the ICC has nominated him for the Player of the Month Award for the month of December 2024. Along with him, Australia’s Pat Cummins and South Africa’s Dan Paterson have also got nominations.

He also received the Player of the Series award for his strong performance. At the same time, his performance also gave him the highest rating points by any Indian bowler in the ICC Test Player Rankings. He is at number one and has 907 rating points.
Pat Cummins won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for Australia
On the other hand, Australia’s Pat Cummins showed a strong game with the ball and bat in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 against India and played an important role in getting Australia the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. There is a fierce competition between Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah, South African speedster Dan Paterson and Australian captain Pat Cummins.
