Former Indian cricketer Yusuf Pathan has declared that India’s Jasprit Bumrah is a far better bowler than Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi. The two have been magnificent for their respective countries across all formats, with Bumrah taking over 300 wickets in international cricket and Afridi taking more than 200.
Fans and cricket experts have often compared the two players, drawing parallels to the comparison between Babar Azam and Virat Kohli. Pathan, who is currently playing in the Indian League T20, was asked about the comparison of Bumrah and Afridi, and he gave his vote to the Indian bowler.
“As an Indian, I would say Jasprit Bumrah is a better bowler than Shaheen Afridi,” Pathan said when asked to choose between Bumrah and Afridi.
Both Bumrah and Afridi have been battling injuries for some time. Bumrah missed the Asia Cup, ICC T20 World Cup, and bilateral series against New Zealand, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. He will also miss the upcoming home matches against New Zealand and Australia.
Afridi, on the other hand, missed the Asia Cup but played in the World Cup in Australia. However, he was injured in the final against England, leading to his absence from the Test series against England and New Zealand, as well as the ODI
