Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah has given a big update regarding the next T20 captain of Team India. He also confirmed that senior players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be part of Team India in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.

BCCI Secretary Jai Shah said on Monday that senior players will be in the Champions Trophy next year and the World Test Championship final if India qualifies, while the selectors will decide on the next T20 captain. Speaking to the media, Jai Shah praised the performance of the senior players in the title win in the T20 World Cup.

Talking about the retirement of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja, Jai Shah said, “The change has started with the retirement of these three veterans. The way this team is playing.
