The upcoming 2024 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is generating significant anticipation, marked by key events such as retention day and auction day taking place within a span of two to three weeks. Scheduled for December 19 in Dubai, the 2024 mini-auction is expected to witness the bidding for a total of 1,166 cricketers, vying for just 77 available slots. Among them, a maximum of 30 overseas players have the opportunity to join the ten franchises participating in the auction. The stage is set for an exciting day of strategic player acquisitions and team-building. According to the registration list of IPL 2024 auction, there are 830 Indians – of which 18 are capped players – along with 336 overseas cricketers.
Players Who Could Go Unsold in IPL 2024 Auction
Kedar Jadhav
With a starting price of INR 2 crore, Kedar Jadhav’s auction value appears steep. The seasoned Indian player has been relatively distant from the IPL, and even his inclusion by RCB in the previous season didn’t yield any on-field action.
Hanuma Vihari
