On Thursday (April 13), the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will face the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 19th game of the IPL 2023 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The Knight Riders enter this game after shocking the defending champions, the Gujarat Titans, in their previous encounter. Rinku Singh blasted five consecutive sixes to lead the team to a 205-run target and was named Player of the Match. The Knight Riders have won two of their first three games and are currently third in the points table.
The Sunisers lost their first two games before winning their first game of the season against the Punjab Kings. While batting first, the Kings scored 143 runs for the cost of nine wickets in 20 overs. With eight wickets in hand, the Sunrisers chased this mark in 17.1 overs. Rahul Tripathi shone with the bat, scoring 74 runs off 48 deliveries, while Mayank Markande was vital with the ball.
