KL Rahul, the skipper of Lucknow Super Giants, suffered a hamstring injury during his team’s previous game against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2023. According to reports, Rahul’s injury is far more serious than expected, and the BCCI is set to take over his case from the franchise.

    Update on KL Rahul injury:

    1. No scans has been done till now as needs to wait 48 hours for swelling to lessen.

    2. He will leave for Mumbai on Thursday where his scans and further tests will be done under BCCI guidance.

    3. As of now, it’s unlikely he will play in IPL 2023.

Will KL Rahul Play WTC Final against Australia?

India and Australia will lock horns in the final of WTC 2023 at The Oval, London, from 7th June onwards. KL Rahul is named as the wicketkeeper batter in India’s squad. However, the recent injury that he suffered in the match against RCB has ruled him out of IPL 2023, and his participation in the WTC Final has also come under scanner. There are high chances of KL Rahul missing the WTC Final as BCCI is not willing to make their players play with an injury scare due to the ODI World Cup which is scheduled to be played in India in October 2023.
