Luke Wood Career
In April 2022, Luke Wood was acquired by the Trent Rockets for the 2022 season of The Hundred. Following this, in May 2022, he earned a spot in England’s One Day International (ODI) squad for their series against the Netherlands. Subsequently, in September 2022, he was included in England’s T20I squad for the series against Pakistan. Wood made his T20I debut on September 20, 2022, against Pakistan, and later, on November 17, 2022, he made his ODI debut against Australia.
In the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2022–23 season, Wood was signed by the Sylhet Strikers franchise. His pivotal performance in the Qualifier 2, where he conceded just 3 runs in the penultimate over, significantly contributed to Sylhet’s advancement to the final of BPL 2023.
