Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma has praised the performance of Mohammed Siraj in the 3rd ODI against Sri Lanka with some very uplifting words. He is in awe of Siraj’s talent, who helped India register the biggest win in ODI cricket history by taking 4 wickets.
Mohammed Siraj had a great opportunity to take a fifer but missed out due to Rajitha’s persistence in the end. However, that does not take away the fact that he completely dismantled the Sri Lankan batting line-up with his spell in which he managed to grab 4 wickets and help India win by 317 runs.
Rohit Sharma said in the post-match conference, “Mohammad Siraj is a rare talent. We tried all things to give him a fifer, but he missed out. The fifer will come soon.”
On the other hand Mohammed Siraj said, “I wanted to try and get my first fifer. Tried very hard, but you get only as much as you deserve. The outswing was coming out nicely, but the wicket-taking over was the scrambled seam. I just try to generate some doubt in the batter’s mind with those outswing deliveries.
