Mohammad Zeeshan Career
Born into a Punjabi Jat family in the village of Chak 58 JB Lillan in Faisalabad District, Zeeshan hails as the youngest of three brothers. His passion for cricket ignited through his elder brother, with Shoaib Akhtar and Curtly Ambrose serving as his inspirations.
In his domestic journey, Zeeshan debuted in List A cricket for Central Punjab against Northern during the 2021-22 Pakistan Cup on March 16, 2022. He represented the Pakistan under-19 cricket team during the 2021 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup and was named as a travelling reserve for Pakistan in the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Additionally, he secured a spot in Pakistan’s squad for the 2023 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup and the 2024 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. His talents also earned recognition in the Pakistan Super League, where he was drafted by Peshawar Zalmi in the emerging category during the 2024 players draft.
On the international front, Zeeshan’s potential caught the eye of selectors, leading to his inclusion in the Pakistani Test squad alongside Arafat Minhas and Basit Ali by the interim selection committee in December 2022.
