Naveen up Haq Domestic & T20 Career

Naveen made his first-class debut for Kabul Region in the 2018 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament on March 7, 2018.

His talent and potential earned him opportunities in various T20 leagues around the world. In September 2018, Naveen was named in Nangarhar’s squad for the inaugural edition of the Afghanistan Premier League. Subsequently, he was selected to play for the Sylhet Thunder in the 2019–20 Bangladesh Premier League. In July 2020, he joined the Guyana Amazon Warriors squad for the 2020 Caribbean Premier League, showcasing his skills on the international stage.

Naveen’s prowess in T20 cricket led to further opportunities as he was drafted by the Kandy Tuskers for the inaugural edition of the Lanka Premier League in October 2020. His performances caught the attention of Leicestershire Foxes, who signed him for the 2021 and 2022 T20 Blast tournaments in England. In a memorable match against the Worcestershire Rapids in June 2022, Naveen achieved his first five-wicket haul in Twenty20 cricket, finishing with figures of 5/11 from four overs.

Continuing his journey in franchise cricket, Naveen was signed by the Colombo Stars for the third edition of the Lanka Premier League in July 2022. In December 2022, he was acquired by the Lucknow Super Giants in the 2023 Indian Premier League auction, further solidifying his status as a sought-after T20 player on the global stage.
