Once a World Class Team Fails to Qualify for T20 World Cup 2024, Uganda Makes It Through

Zimbabwe will be utterly disappointed as they failed to qualify for the recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup in the past and now fail to even qualify for the T20 World Cup 2024.

Uganda secured their place in the upcoming T20 World Cup with a convincing nine-wicket victory over Rwanda in an African qualifier on Thursday. This win solidifies Uganda as the final addition to the 20 teams competing in the tournament set to take place in the West Indies and the United States. Notably, Namibia had already qualified earlier in the week, making them one of the teams to watch in the upcoming T20 World Cup. Meanwhile, Zimbabwe, despite defeating Kenya, unfortunately, missed out on qualification for the prestigious cricket event.

Uganda’s victory in the African qualifier marks their inaugural participation in an ICC World Cup, marking a historic moment for the nation. They now join the ranks as the fifth African nation to secure a spot at a T20 World Cup.
