The pre-sale of tickets for three India matches in the ODI World Cup 2023, which began on Thursday, resulted in all tickets being sold out within minutes. These matches included India vs Australia, India vs Bangladesh, and India vs Afghanistan, with ticket sales starting in different phases on Thursday, August 31. Fans rushed to purchase tickets on the BookMyShow platform, leading to quick sell-outs and disappointment among many, as they expressed their frustration on Twitter.

Similar issues were observed during the ODI World Cup 2023 ticket sales on August 29, which were exclusively for MasterCard users. Some users encountered messages or were placed in long queues, lasting up to 3 to 4 hours when attempting to book tickets. BookMyShow later explained that the rapid sell-out was due to overwhelming demand, as only a limited number of tickets were available.

The advance ticket sales for warm-up matches involving India on Wednesday received mixed reactions. The India vs England warm-up match sold out rapidly, demonstrating high fan interest, while tickets for the Netherlands warm-up match are still available.

    • India matches at Guwahati and Trivandrum: August 30 from 8 PM IST onwards.
    • India matches at Chennai, Delhi, and Pune: August 31 from 8 PM IST onwards.
    • India matches at Dharamsala, Lucknow, and Mumbai: September 1 from 8 PM IST onwards.
    • India matches at Bengaluru and Kolkata: September 2 from 8 PM IST onwards.
