    Pakistan Cricket Board News- Shahid Afridi was Named the Chairman of the Pakistan Selection Committee. Recently Najam Sethi replaced Ramiz Raja as the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, and since then, many changes have started happening in Pakistan Cricket Board.

    The Pakistan Cricket Board announced on Saturday that Shahid Afridi, a former captain of Pakistan, has been named interim chairman of the men’s national selection committee (December 24). The panel will also include Abdul Razzaq and Rao Iftikhar Anjum, with Haroon Rashid, a management committee member, serving as the convener.

    Only for Pakistan’s next home series against New Zealand has the three-man selection committee led by Shahid Afridi been constituted, replacing the panel led by Mohammad Wasim. The Pakistan and New Zealand series consists of two tests (part of the World Test Championship) and three one-day internationals (part of the World Cup Super League). It starts on December 26 and ends on January 14.

    Najam Sethi, chair of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee, commented on the appointment of the temporary selection panel, saying, “I welcome the interim Men’s National Selection Committee and have no doubt that despite limited time, they will make brave and bold decisions that will help us produce a strong and competitive side in the series against New Zealand.
