With time running out for the submission of ODI World Cup squads, Pakistan – who would be one of the contenders in India to clinch the silverware – announced their squad for the marquee event today.
The press conference for the Pakistan World Cup 2023 squad announcement was headlined by the Pakistani legend Inzamam-ul-Haq. Most of the team that has been announced is as predicted by Cricreads.
Hasan Ali has made a return in Pakistan’s squad while Naseem Shah has been left out due to an injury. Haris Rauf is still in the squad despite his recent struggles with injuries. Mohammad Wasim Jr is also included as one of the frontline pacers.
Shadab Khan will still serve as the vice captain for the team which is captained by Babar Azam. Spinner Usama Mir has also found a place in the 15 man squad for World Cup. Meanwhile, Zaman Khan, Mohammad Haris and Abrar Ahmed will travel as reservers.
