India secured a 160-run victory against the Netherlands in the final league stage game of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, claiming the top position on the points table.
This triumph also marked India’s longest winning streak in a single edition of the World Cup, surpassing its record of eight wins during the 2003 and 2015 editions.
South Africa and Australia secured second and third places, respectively, while New Zealand occupied the fourth spot.
The top eight teams in the tournament have qualified for the Champions Trophy scheduled to be held in Pakistan in 2025. Unfortunately, the Netherlands and Sri Lanka failed to make the cut.
After the 45 matches of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, India is at the top of the points table, while Netherlands is at the bottom of the points table.
