Shaw’s remarkable batting prowess was evident in the previous Ranji Trophy season when he smashed an impressive 379 runs off 383 deliveries against Assam. This outstanding performance surpassed the previous record set by Sanjay Manjrekar and established Shaw as Mumbai’s highest run-scorer in a single innings. It also stands as the second-highest individual score in the history of the competition.
Having already made an impact on the international stage with appearances in five Tests, six ODIs, and one T20I, Shaw brings valuable experience to the table. In 42 first-class matches, he has amassed 3,679 runs, including 12 centuries and 15 fifties.
