The 52nd match of IPL 2025 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings is scheduled to take place today, Saturday, May 3, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The match is set to begin at 7:30 PM IST, with the toss scheduled for 7:00 PM between the two captains – Rajat Patidar and MS Dhoni.

Fans are eagerly awaiting this high-voltage encounter, but at the same time, emotions are running high, as this could be the final IPL face-off between Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. Rumours of Dhoni’s IPL retirement are doing the rounds, especially considering CSK’s underwhelming performance this season. Many believe that Dhoni might bid farewell to the league after this season.

However, the weather might spoil the excitement, as rain is likely to interrupt the game.

RCB vs CSK Weather Update – Chinnaswamy Stadium

Bengaluru has been experiencing intermittent rain for the past 2-3 days, creating uncertainty among locals and fans about today’s weather. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of rain and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours. A yellow alert has also been issued for the next five days in Bengaluru.

According to Accuweather, there is a high chance of rain between 7 PM and 9 PM during the CSK vs RCB match. This could lead to a reduction in the number of overs. However, the Chinnaswamy Stadium has an excellent drainage system, and if the rain stops in time, fans can still expect at least a 5-over match per side.
