Ravi Bishnoi’s father, Mangilal Bishnoi, holds the position of Headmaster and serves as a government teacher. His mother, Sohni Devi Bishnoi, plays the role of a homemaker in the family. Ravi Bishnoi embarked on his domestic cricket career with the Rajasthan team. His debut in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2018-19 took place on 21 February 2019 against Tamil Nadu. Later that year, he made his List A debut on 27 September in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019-20. Between 2019 and 2021, Ravi participated in 17 List A matches, securing an impressive tally of 24 wickets, including a notable four-wicket haul.

IPL Career

In December 2019, during the 2020 IPL auction, Kings XI Punjab acquired Ravi Bishnoi for the 2020 Indian Premier League season. His IPL debut occurred on 20 September 2020 against Delhi Capitals, where he claimed Rishabh Pant as his first wicket, concluding with bowling figures of 1/22 in four overs, despite being on the losing side. By the end of the season, Bishnoi had secured 12 wickets and earned a nomination for the Emerging Player award. Subsequently, in February 2022, Lucknow Super Giants included Bishnoi in their squad for the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament.

International Career

In December 2019, he earned a spot in India’s squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. On 21 January 2020, during India’s match against Japan, he showcased a remarkable performance by taking four wickets without conceding a run. He concluded his spell with exceptional figures of four wickets for five runs from eight overs. India won the match by ten wickets, and Bishnoi was rightfully named the Man of the Match. His outstanding performances throughout the tournament led him to finish as the leading wicket-taker.

In January 2022, Bishnoi’s inclusion was announced in India’s One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) squads for the home series against the West Indies. He made his T20I debut on 16 February 2022 against the West Indies, contributing significantly with two wickets for 17 runs and earning the player of the match accolade. Subsequently, in October 2022, he secured a place in India’s ODI squad for the series against South Africa, making his ODI debut on 6 October 2022 against South Africa.

In November 2023, Bishnoi was selected for India’s squad in the five-match T20 series against Australia, where he showcased impressive performance with a series-leading 9 wickets at an average of 18.22. In the first match, he conceded 54 runs off his four overs, picking up just one wicket. However, in the second match, he delivered an exceptional spell, securing three wickets for just 32 runs. He Is currently named in the T20I squad for the series against South Africa.
