Avinash Singh, the newly signed bowler for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, has opened up about his admiration for veteran player Dinesh Karthik.
In addition to Avinash, RCB also added Reece Topley and Will Jacks to complete their overseas quota of players. In addition, they brought in Indian players Sonu Yadav, Rajan Kumar, Manoj Bhandage, and Himanshu Sharma to replace those who were released before the auction.
Speaking about his first session with Karthik, Avinash said, “Dinesh Karthik is one of the best batters in the world, and it was a pleasure to bowl to him. I have learned so much from him.” He went on to express his excitement about joining the team, saying, “I am a big fan of the franchise, and it was a dream come true when they picked me. I can improve my skills while working with one of the best franchises.”
RCB have made a concerted effort to keep the core group of their squad together for the 2023 season, and only made a few additions during the auction. However, Avinash’s addition is noteworthy as the team spent INR 60 lakh on him.
