MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will start their campaign of IPL 2023 from 31 March. CSK’s last season was not good as the team finished ninth on the table. Spin all rounder Ravindra Jadeja was handed over the command of Chennai in IPL 2022, but it proved to be a flop show. Chennai, under his leadership, played eight matches, out of which only 2 were won. Dhoni, disappointed with the performance, took the reins in his hands once again.

Many fans criticized the removal of Jadeja from the mid-season captaincy. Jadeja then left the CSK camp and there was talk of a rift in his relationship with Dhoni. However, now it has become clear that Jaddu was upset after getting removed from captaincy. Last year there were also reports that the franchise could release Jadeja from the team. But Dhoni had an eye on all these things and with understanding he entered into a relationship with Jadeja and took the initiative to melt the frozen ice.

It has been revealed that Dhoni had an honest long one-on-one chat with Jadeja, that helped him mend his ways with the franchise and return to normalcy. Jadeja also had a chat with the CEO of the franchise Kasi Viswanathan and the misunderstanding was cleared. The all-rounder was explained in detail where the franchise was coming from and he too has stated what he expects going forward.

Speaking to the publication, a CSK source said, “Jaddu is fine, he is happy to be back with the team and is very keen to do well. He is looking forward to the season.”
