Delhi Capitals is once again going to be likely without their skipper in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. Rishabh Pant suffered a serious accident at the start of 2023 and was ruled out of the IPL 2023 and his injuries could potentially rule him out of the upcoming edition of IPL as well.
Rishabh Pant recently joined the training camp of Delhi Capitals but did not come out to practice at well. Sourav Ganguly, the Director of Cricket for Delhi Capitals recently mentioned in an interview that they are hopeful of Pant returning but nothing concrete could be said about the cricketer’s involvement in IPL 2024.

Rishabh Pant has undergone a knee surgery and several other minor surgeries throughout his journey towards full recovery. Even if he manages to return for Delhi Capitals it is going to be purely as a batter in IPL 2024 as it seems that his knees won’t be able to manage him the support that he requires for wicketkeeping.
Pant’s wicketkeeping career is definitely going to be affected by the surgeries performed on him. Rumours are circulating that David Warner will again captain the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024. Rishabh Pant will probably miss the action this year as well.
