De Kock hit 100 off just 44 deliveries as South Africa pulled of highest successful chase by a team in the history of the shortest format of the game.

Earlier, Jonathan Charles registered the joint third-fastest century in T20I history as West Indies piled up a total of 258/5 against South Africa in the second T20I at the SuperSport Park in Centurion today. Charles slammed 118 off just 46 balls, smashing 11 sixes and 10 fours as surpassed Chris Gayle to become the West Indies’ fastest centurion in the T20 format of the game.

South Africa scripted history by chasing down the highest total ever in T20Is. The previous highest run chase was Bulgaria’s 246 to beat Serbia in 2022 while Australia made 245 to beat New Zealand in 2018 in the T20Is.
