Saurav Ganguly, Delhi Capitals’ Director of Cricket, recently spoke to Press Trust of India and gave vital information about Rishabh Pant’s return to international cricket. India will play the 50 over World Cup in India this year, and players like Rishabh Pant will be needed in the squad to lift the trophy after 2011.
When asked about the status of Rishabh Pant, Ganguly said, “I spoke to him a couple of times. Obviously he is going through a tough period, through injuries and surgeries and I wish him well. In a year’s time or may be in a couple of years’ time, he will be back playing for India.”

On being asked if Delhi Capitals is going to replace Rishabh Pant, Saurav Ganguly said, “We still need a bit of time to figure out. The next camp starts before IPL.”
“The IPL is still a month away and the season has just started. It is difficult to get all the players together for the amount of cricket they play. There are four or five who are playing Irani Trophy. Sarfaraz has an injured finger and it’s not a broken finger. He should be okay for the IPL,” He added further.
It’s a bad news for Rishabh Pant as he is out for over a year from cricket.
