The defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SEC) have once again secured a spot in the SA20 finals, setting the stage for an intense showdown against the formidable Durban Super Giants (DSG). Despite a setback against Sunrisers in Qualifier 1, Durban Super Giants, led by Keshav Maharaj, bounced back with a convincing victory over Joburg Super Kings in Qualifier 2, winning by a margin of 69 runs.
With a wealth of experience in handling pressure situations, Sunrisers will be confident heading into the finals. Their pace duo, Marco Jansen and Ottniel Baartman, proved instrumental in Qualifier 1, each claiming four wickets and dismantling the Durban batting lineup. While Dawid Malan and Markram displayed promising form with the bat, there is still room for improvement in their overall performance.
