England were crowned World T20 champions after defeating Pakistan in the final, ending the hopes of a 1992 World Cup deja’vu. Pakistan batting failed to rise to the occasion and bundled for 137, a total that the English chased comfortably in the end despite the supremacy of their bowling attack that gave millions hope.

Pakistani fans and cricketers expressed their disappointment on various social media platforms; Twitter, Instagram, YouTube etc. Former Pakistan fast bowler, Shoaib Akthar tweeted an emoji displaying a heartbreak after the loss in the final, to which ace pacer Mohammad Shami replied saying ‘Its call karma’. The reply was circulated and spoken about widely on the twitter with many opinions being thrown around.

Shoaib Akhtar took notice and replied to the tweet with a picture that had a quote from world renowned cricket broadcaster Harsha Bhogle along with his tweet that praised the bowling attack for its versatility and sheer skill. Akthar captioned the tweet ‘This is what you call a sensible tweet’ in a cheeky dig at Mohammad Shami, which the bowler certainly had coming.
