Yuzvendra Chahal was left out of the Asia Cup 2023 squad as Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel were preferred over him. The Indian team management justified the decision by saying that India needs more all-rounders in the set-up and currently Kuldeep Yadav is the best leg spinner in the country.

However, cricketers all around the world were shocked by the thought process of Indian team management as there was no real backup for Kuldeep Yadav in the squad. On an off chance if an injury occurs to Kuldeep Yadav, India will need to rely on Axar and Jadeja who are both very similar type of spinners who do not get much spin.

The inclusion of Yuzvendra Chahal in the World Cup squad of India should be a no brainer for India. It is confirmed that Chahal is going to be one of the squad members but whether he will be part of the 15 core members or the reserve players is yet to be known.

Ajit Agarkar is going to announce India’s World Cup 2023 squad today in a press conference. This squad is going to be a provisional one in which changes are allowed till 28th September 2023. Whether Sanju Samson will also get selected is another topic of discussion.
