The T20 World Cup 2024 schedule is announced and the tournament is going to kick off just after a week of IPL 2024. United States vs Canada, the first match of T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled to take place on June 2, 2024. The tournament will have a total of 55 matches in which 16 different teams will participate. This is the maximum number of teams ever for a T20 World Cup.
Thr final of the tournament is going to be played on June 29, 2024. T20 World Cup 2024 is going to be jointly hosted by West Indies and the United States of America. A total of four groups have been made to divide the 16 participating teams into the groups of four. From these four groups a total of eight teams including two from each group will qualify for the Super Eights. From the Super Eights a total of four top teams will qualify for the semi-finals. The venue for semi-final and final is yet to be revealed.
One of the major highlights of the T20 World Cup 2024 is going to be the match between India and Pakistan. This game is scheduled to be played on June 9, 2024 in New York.
