Tapsee Pannu Shares Poster of Mithali Raj’s Biopic Shabaash Mithu

Tapsee Pannu on the occasion of international women’s day gave a glimpse of Mithali Raj’s biopic and her upcoming movie through a poster on her Instagram account. The movie is named “Shabaash Mithu- The Unheard Story Of Women In Blue” and is a biopic based on the life story of Mithali Raj who is the current captain of the Indian women’s cricket team.

The movie was originally scheduled to be released in theatre on 4th February 2022, however, due to covid, the movie was postponed and a new release date hasn’t been announced yet.

In the new poster shared by Tapsee Pannu. She is seen donning the Indian cricket team jersey with a bat and helmet in each hand and Mithali written on her back.

The movie has an intermediate craze among cricket fans. Everyone wants to know the struggle, setbacks, and moments of her life and Mithali Raj’s biopic could surely do justice to it, as the movie is expected to revolve around this concept. Vijay Raaz is playing the role of a lead actor in this movie directed by Rahul Dholakia.

Mithali Raj is the current Indian cricket women team’s captain and has a plethora of astonishing career records scripted on her name.

1) She is the first woman to play the sport for more than 22 years.

2) She has captained the most number of ODI matches i.e 149 matches.

3) She has the highest career runs in women’s cricket.

4) Mithali Raj has scored the most number of consecutive ODI fifties. (7 half-centuries)

5) The second fastest women cricketer to breach the mark of 2000 T20i runs.

Mithali Raj’s career cannot be defined in a movie but surely her life can be depicted. How she broke the stereotypes including women playing cricket. She average above 50 in ODI cricket and around 38 in T20i. These are eye-catching figures.

Tapsee Pannu was last seen in the movie Loop Lapeta and is currently working on two other projects “Woh Ladki Hai Kahan?” and “Blurr”.
