The Indian team has left for home from Barbados after the storm subsided. Team India, which won the T20 World Cup on Saturday, left for India from Bridgetown after a long wait of four days. The Indian team, which became the world champion under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, will reach Delhi on Thursday morning at 6 am. The players and staff of the team will go directly from the airport to ITC Maurya Hotel. After this, the players will meet PM Narendra Modi.

The champion players will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 11 am at the PM residence. After meeting PM Modi, the cricket team will leave directly for Mumbai. After reaching Mumbai, the victorious Indian team will take out a victory march. The victory march will be from Nariman Point to Wankhede Stadium. Indian cricketers are also going to be showered with prizes during this time. The BCCI itself has announced a bonus of INR 125 crore.

India won the T20 World Cup trophy by defeating South Africa on June 29. Since then, Indian fans are eager to welcome their champion team. But the storm Beryl in Barbados made the wait for the Indian team to return home longer. Due to this, the Indian cricket team remained stuck in Barbados since becoming the world champion. The players confined in a hotel remained connected with their families and fans through social media. The champion players shared a lot of pictures and videos on social media of winning the T20 World Cup.
