Team India is set to clash with Australia in the second T20I of their five-match series in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday. Despite a 1-0 lead secured earlier this week, the match follows India’s return to action after a heartbreaking defeat in the ODI World Cup final against Australia. Suryakumar Yadav, leading the team, played a pivotal role in the first T20I, orchestrating a record 209-run chase with a match-winning knock of 80 runs off 42 balls.
However, as the teams gear up for the second encounter in Kerala’s capital, weather concerns linger. Rain is anticipated on Sunday, with a brief spell forecasted at 2 PM IST, expected to conclude within an hour. While the day will likely remain cloudy, the night is expected to have mostly clear skies. Fortunately, significant disruptions are not expected during the match, scheduled to start at 7 PM IST (with the toss half an hour earlier).

In the series opener, India, despite conceding 208 runs while bowling, made a strong start, with Josh Inglis scoring a century for Australia. Contrary to expectations of dew, India successfully chased the target in Visakhapatnam, with Suryakumar, Ishan Kishan, and Rinku Singh playing crucial roles.
Looking ahead, the third T20I is scheduled for November 28 in Guwahati, followed by the fourth in Raipur on December 1. The series will conclude with the fifth and final match on December 3 in Bengaluru.
