Unofficially the record for hitting the longest six is held by Shahid Afridi who reportedly blasted a 153m six against South Africa in Johannesburg ground in 2013. However, ICC has officially registered the six as 120m long and it is not the longest six in international cricket anymore. Now, the question we all come to back again that which is the longest six in the history of international cricket. Here we have listed some of the longest sixes the cricketing world has witnessed.

Top 7 Longest Six in Cricket at the International Level

    1- Brett Lee’s 130m Six

The Australian fast bowler who was known for destroying the stumps has also hit the longest six in cricketing history. ICC has officially declared the 130m six hit by Brett Lee in 2005 against West Indies as the longest six in history. Brett Lee scored this six off Darren Powell’s bowling.

    2- Martin Guptill’s 127m Six

The second longest six in international cricket belongs to the Kiwi opener Martin Guptill who smashed a 127m long six against South Africa in 2012. He deposited the ball bowled by Lonwabo Tsotsobe for a massive maximum.

    3- Liam Livingstone’s 122m Six

Liam Livingstone the ferocious English batter who is known for his power-hitting smashed the third longest six of all time against Pakistan in 2021. The ball travelled 122m. He decimated the premium Pakistani pacer Haris Rauf.
