On Thursday, the Indian run-machine Virat Kohli was again on song when he smashed a fifty in the crucial semifinal against England at Adelaide Oval. The cricketing legend achieved the landmark of 4000 runs in international T20s. Virat Kohli became the first cricketer in the world to reach 4000 T20I runs. He is followed by his own teammate Rohit Sharma with 3853 runs in T20Is.

Virat Kohli went past 4000 runs in just 107 innings. He has played 115 T20Is so far in his career. Kohli scored a hundred in the shortest format of the game against Afghanistan. He has 37 fifties to his name and a mind-boggling average of 52 in T20Is. His unbelievable prove the stature of his achievement.

Virat Kohli was the best batter for India in the World Cup. He scored 295 runs in the 5 matches that he played in the ongoing tournament. Unfortunately, we won’t see more of his batting in the T20 World Cup as England defeated India with 10 wickets in the semi-final. Kohli won’t be featuring against the Kiwis in the upcoming T20Is. So, we will have to wait for quite a long before we see his batting in the shortest format of the game.
