Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, the two cricketing legends were spotted engaging in a friendly and serious conversation before the second Test against West Indies at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain. The rain delay during Team India’s training session provided the perfect opportunity for the senior batsmen to exchange valuable batting tips.
During the conversation, both Kohli and Rohit Sharma had their batting kits with them. Their good form in the first Test against West Indies was evident, with the Indian captain scoring a sublime hundred, while Kohli displayed his fighting spirit with a crucial 76-run knock.
Their combined efforts led India to a resounding victory by an innings and 141 runs. In the upcoming second Test, India aims for a whitewash and looks to extend their 21-year dominance, having not lost a Test series against West Indies in this period.

India has made a strong start in the third World Test Championship (WTC) cycle, leading the points table with 12 points after the first Test. Another victory in the second Test would further consolidate their position in the WTC 2023-25 cycle. The team showed a remarkable performance in the first Test, with Yashasvi Jaiswal impressing with a debut century, Ravichandran Ashwin shining with 12 wickets, and Ishan Kishan performing well behind the stumps.
Rohit Sharma suggested that there might be minimal changes in the playing XI for the second Test. Considering the spin-friendly conditions in Dominica, Rohit might be tempted to include Axar Patel as the third spinner. However, if the weather remains overcast, he might opt for three pacers in Port of Spain.
