During a recent match in the Tamil Nadu Premier League, Abhishek Tanwar, last year’s leading wicket-taker, endured an unfortunate moment in T20 cricket as he conceded 18 runs off a single ball. This performance places him among the contenders for the highest number of runs conceded on a single delivery in T20 history.
In the recent clash between the Salem Spartans and the Chepauk Super Gillies, Abhishek, the captain of the Spartans, gave away 18 runs on the final ball of the innings.
Although the seamer managed to take a wicket on the last delivery, it was deemed a no-ball, allowing the batsmen to steal a run. On the subsequent ball, Abhishek overstepped once again and was hammered for a six. In his third attempt to complete the over, Tanwar bowled another no-ball, resulting in a single, followed by a wide delivery.
