After India managed to build an 87-run lead against Bangladesh in the first innings of the ongoing second Test in Mirpur, Virat Kohli was charged up on Day 2. As the lights faded, Kohli could be heard criticizing the Bangladesh openers for wasting time. “Kapde Bhi utaar de,” Kohli was heard saying to Shanto
Even the commentators couldn’t control their laughter after seeing Kohli’s gesture towards Shanto. The event occurred after the fifth delivery of Bangladesh’s second innings’ sixth over, at which point the umpires declared the end of play.

India passed Bangladesh’s first innings total, all thanks to Rishabh Pant and Iyer’s partnership, but both players painfully missed out on their hundreds as India lost their final six wickets for 61 runs. Bangladesh gave India an easy chaseable target of 145. Indian Openers and first down batsmen Cheteshwar Pujara made a mess of the chase as India is in a difficult situation at 45 for 4.
Virat Kohli is also dismissed for just 1.
It would be interesting to see the approach of India’s batsmen in what could be the final day of the series.
