Will Young, the New Zealand opener who is occasionally selected in the national squad, almost achieved a great milestone before being dismissed on the 6th ball to its 6 consecutive sixes in the domestic Super Smash T20s in New Zealand. Young smashed 5 consecutive sixes and went for the sixth one but was, unfortunately, out on the last ball of the over.
Young pulled a short ball from the left-arm spinner’s final delivery of the seventh over, perhaps thinking it would clear the square leg boundary, only for the ball to fall into the hands of Aces fielder Danru Ferns.

The occasional Black Caps top-order bat hit five sixes in succession off the first five balls of an over from Auckland’s Louis Delport when playing for the Central Stags in the men’s Super Smash competition in New Zealand. He scored a total of 67 runs in 29 balls in his destructive inning.
