What is Australia’s Test Cricket Record at the Gabba, Brisbane?

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 is heating up with the series level at 1-1 after the first two Tests.

India dominated Australia by 295 runs in the first Test in Perth, while the hosts bounced back to win by 10 wickets in Adelaide.

Mitchell Starc and Travis Head delivered exceptional performances in the day-night Test at Adelaide, with Marnus Labuschagne returning to form. Captain Pat Cummins was relentless, taking a five-wicket haul in India’s second innings, including a stunning ball to dismiss Rohit Sharma.

The third Test of the series will take place at the Gabba in Brisbane, where India holds special memories from their last encounter in 2021. India pulled off a historic victory, defeating Australia by three wickets on the final day, ending their 32-year undefeated streak at the Gabba.

Australia also faced defeat at the Gabba earlier this year, when the West Indies, led by Shamar Joseph, won by just eight runs in a thrilling day-night Test.

Despite these losses, Australia boasts an impressive record at the Gabba, which we’ll explore below.
