    Sachin Tendulkar, the legendary Indian cricketer, received a ‘Golden Ticket’ for the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary, Jay Shah.

    This ‘Golden Ticket for India Icons’ was given to Tendulkar as a special recognition. BCCI shared this moment on a social media platform. Amitabh Bachchan, the iconic Indian actor, had also received a ‘Golden Ticket’ previously.

    What is the Golden Ticket for World Cup 2023?

    Goden Ticket for World Cup 2023 will allow the iconic legends to witness the action live without having to purchase a ticket for the World Cup matches. Only Sachin Tendulkar and Amitabh Bachchan have received the golden ticket so far.

    The upcoming World Cup is scheduled to be hosted by India from October 5 to November 19, 2023, with ten participating teams, including India, Australia, England, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and New Zealand.

    The tournament will commence with England facing New Zealand and India starting their campaign against Australia on October 8. Semi-finals are set for November 15 and 16, with the final match on November 19.
