Cricket has one of the busiest calendars in the sports scene, and it’s as if it’s not already full of thrilling matches because there’s something new that cricket fans can once again look forward to each year.
The SA 20 league is another one for the books, especially if you’re a huge fan of the Indian Premier League (IPL). If you haven’t been watching the SA20 tournament, you’re missing out on what some of your favorite IPL players are up to.

All About the SA20 League
The SA20 is a Twenty20 cricket tournament in South Africa established only last year under Africa Cricket Development (Pty) Limited. Its major stakeholder is the Cricket South Africa group with 50%.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) former CEO, Sundar Raman, also owns 20% of its stakes, while the broadcasting company SuperSport has 30%.
All six teams involved in the tournament are bought by IPL franchises, and that’s why you’ll see a lot of familiar IPL players in this tournament.
So, if you’re a huge fan of the biggest Indian cricket tournament, this will easily be one of your most-awaited events each year. However, it’s still unclear if more seasons are coming, so we can only wait.
Cricket commentator Graeme Smith is the commissioner for the tournament.
SA20 League Schedule and Venue
The SA20 league already started on January 10, 2023. The final is scheduled on February 11, 2023, and in total, it will have 33 matches. All the matches in this tournament are and will be played across South African cities.
