As anticipation grows for the upcoming Test series between India and Bangladesh, cricket fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement of Team India’s squad. The series is set to commence on September 19 at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. The BCCI is expected to reveal the squad after the first round of the Duleep Trophy 2024, which runs from September 5 to 8.

Top domestic players such as Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, and KL Rahul will showcase their skills during the Duleep Trophy, influencing their selection for the Bangladesh series. The selection committee, led by Ajit Agarkar, will assess these performances to finalize the squad.

India’s preparation includes training at the MA Chidambaram Stadium starting September 12, while Bangladesh will begin their training at the same venue from September 15. India holds a strong historical record against Bangladesh, having won 11 out of 13 Test matches between the two teams.

Key players like Virat Kohli are expected to return, enhancing India’s prospects. Additionally, the potential return of Jasprit Bumrah, who has been absent since the 2024 T20 World Cup final, adds intrigue. This series is crucial for India’s bid to top the ICC World Test Championship points table, while Bangladesh aims to build on recent successes.
