The stage is set for the Asia Cup 2023 to determine India’s final opponent. Rohit Sharma’s team secured their spot in the final with impressive wins against Pakistan and Sri Lanka during the Super 4s. The other contenders are Pakistan and Sri Lanka, while Bangladesh has already been eliminated. The tournament has been marked by an intriguing journey, often disrupted by rain.
However, if rain interferes with the Super 4 match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, there is no reserve day scheduled. In such a scenario, a 20-over-per-side contest would be arranged on Thursday to determine the winner.
In the event of a complete washout, Sri Lanka would advance to the final due to their superior Net Run Rate compared to Pakistan. Currently, Sri Lanka ranks second in the Super 4 points table, even though both teams have 2 points, with one win and one loss each. Pakistan’s lower Net Run Rate places them third.

It’s worth noting that there has never been an Asia Cup final between India and Pakistan, the two fiercest rivals in cricket.
Thanks to their flawless performance in the Super 4 stage, India has already secured a place in the final and aims to add a 7th Asia Cup title (in the ODI format) to their collection. Sri Lanka has 5 titles in the 50-over format, while Pakistan has won the tournament twice.
