“Why do people only talk about pitches in India…” Sunil Gavaskar on Commentary in the IND vs AUS 1st Test.
Sunil Gavaskar put Australian newspapers and media to shame by saying that pitches in Australia and every other in the world are not so great. He said, ”why do people only talk about Indian pitches and their spinning nature.”

“The pitches in Australia are fast bowler-friendly where Pat Cummins and co have taken tons of wickets in Test cricket. Moreover, recently in the South Africa series, the Perth pitch was totally green and almost unplayable for the batters against the pace bowlers,” Gavaskar added.

“The pitches like this in Nagpur test the batting skills of a batter. It tests the mentality and character of a batter in Test cricket,” He went on to say on commentary about the Nagpur pitch, which has been labelled as spin friendly.
