Defending champions England Women registered a thumping victory over Pakistan Women to massively improve their net run rate and keep the hopes of making semi-finals in the Women’s World Cup 2022.
England Women have moved up to the 4th position displacing India Women in the points table with 3 wins in 6 games and a healthy net run rate of +0.778. Both India and England have one much left in the tournament to decide their fates. If both the teams win their next match, both will qualify for the semis. However, if one team loses the subsequent encounter, West Indies will go into the semi-finals.

England Women won the toss and predictably chose to bowl first. Invited to bat first, Pakistan had a horrible start by losing Nahida Khan on the first bowl of the match.
