According to a recent PTI report, it’s unlikely that Prasidh will be able to recover in time for the World Cup and make it to the final roster.

Stress Fracture Rules Out Young Speedster from Representing India in Major Tournament

This is a huge loss for the Indian cricket team as Prasidh has been a standout player in the limited opportunities he’s had so far. In 14 ODIs, he has claimed 25 wickets with a remarkable average of 23.92 and an impressive economy rate of 5.32. He has been a key player in India’s fast bowling department and his absence will definitely leave a huge void in the team.

A BCCI source stated that the recovery time for a stress fracture injury varies from player to player and can take anywhere from six months to a year. Unfortunately, Prasidh’s injury is severe, and he may miss out on a considerable amount of games. The Indian cricket fans are surely disappointed to hear this news and will hope for a speedy recovery for the young pacer.
